Act fast. Forward the original M-PESA SMS to 456 or use the M-PESA app. Some PayBill cases need the receiving organisation to assist — timelines can run up to 72 hours.

Pay to PayBill
- Dial *334# → Lipa na M-PESA → PayBill, or open M-PESA app → PayBill.
- Enter the Business Number.
- Enter your Account Number (e.g. meter number, admission number).
- Enter amount and your M-PESA PIN.
- Save the SMS confirmation as your receipt.
Buy Goods (Till)
- Dial *334# → Lipa na M-PESA → Buy Goods, or app → Buy Goods.
- Enter the Till Number displayed at the merchant.
- Enter amount and your PIN.
- Show the SMS to the cashier as proof of payment.
Buy Goods is free for customers — the merchant pays the transaction fee.
Pochi la Biashara
- Send Money to the trader's Pochi number — works just like a normal Send Money.
- The trader receives funds in a separate business wallet on their line.
- Standard Send Money tariffs apply for the customer.
Pay Online (M-PESA Express)
- At checkout, choose Pay with M-PESA.
- Enter your phone number — you'll get an STK push prompt on the phone.
- Enter your M-PESA PIN to authorise.
- Order confirmation arrives by SMS and on the merchant page.

Indicative. Buy Goods (Till) payments are free for customers up to KSh 250,000 per transaction. PayBill charges depend on the receiving organisation.
